Anne Kasprik mit Bud und Terence am Set

Anne Kasprzik was born on June 11th 1963, in then East Berlin. Her father is screenwriter and director Hans-Joachim Kasprzik, who was very successful in the GDR. Anne wanted to follow in her father's footsteps and study directing but at a directing training seminar at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art, Anne's acting talent emerged overwhelmingly and was appreciated by colleagues and faculty. Thus, in 1983, Anne decided to change her path and began studying acting instead of directing.

Already during her studies she began playing various roles for GDR television productions. In 1987 she finished her studies and immediately joined the permanent ensemble of GDR television actors. Until the fall of the Berlin Wall she was well employed there, among other things for the program 'Polizeiruf 110' in which she played both a criminal and an investigator.

With German unification the era of GDR television came to an end, and with it Anne's permanent place as an actress. Unlike many of her colleagues, however, Anne managed the transition well, which she attributes to her young age, after all she is only 27 in the year of reunification-and joins Ute Nicolai's agency, which she still represents today. As part of this rebirth, Anne changes the spelling of her last name. She discards the annoying "z" in her name and from then on spells it 'Kasprik'.

After a guest role in the ARD series 'Praxis Bülowbogen', in 1991, Anne shot the feature film 'Someday' by and with Vadim Glowna. The film's cameraman is Israeli Oren Schmuckler, whom Anne not only knows, but loves as well.

'Troublemakers'

In 1994, Anne Kasprik is noticed by Terence Hill. He is looking for an actress for a role in his new film Botte di Natale, so he wants to meet and get to know Anne. Anne is very excited when she first meets Terence Hill in a Berlin hotel. At the end of a pleasant conversation, Anne gets the part without casting or auditions.

The filming of 'Troublemakers' takes place in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1994. This is a whole new world for Anne. She likes the familiar, easy-going atmosphere on set and gets to know Bud Spencer and Terence Hill as two real stars who don't act like stars at all. In the middle of filming, her fiancé Oren asks her by phone to marry him, and Anne immediately accepts. The wedding took place in Santa Fe. The news causes excitement among the crew, and many help with the wedding preparations. Especially Lori, Terence Hill's wife. The wedding ceremony finally takes place at Bonanza Creek Ranch, the house where Bridget, Anne's character in the film, lives. Terence Hill is her best man at the wedding. The big wedding party follows in the evening at the St. Francis Hotel in Santa Fe.

The premiere of 'Troublemakers' takes place on March 15, 1995, in Dresden. Unfortunately the film did not find its audience and flopped at the box office, which is why the vaguely conceived sequel to the film in which Anne was to star again, was not made. For Anne, 'Troublemakers' is thus her last major international production.
