Die Kutsche in Bad Bederkesa

The carriage from 'Troublemakers' (shot in New Mexico, USA) can be found in Germany, thanks to the TV program "Wetten dass...." Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were guests on the program in the spring of 1995 and brought the carriage with them. The host city of Bremerhaven won a challenge in the program, and took home the coveted heirloom. In the following years, all trace of the carriage was lost.  No one knew what had become of it.

In September 2019, Bremerhaven fan Sascha Meyer set out to find the carriage. With the help of the Nordsee-Newspaper, he learned that the carriage had gone to the city-owned Bremerhavener Beschäftigungsgesellschaft 'Unterweser' (BBU), which runs the Bad Bederkesa boarding school among other things. The carriage furnished their playground for many years, without anyone knowing that the carriage had featured in a film. During a visit to the site they learned about this fact, and the BBU and the country school came up with the idea of restoring the carriage to its original condition. The movie's distinctive 'Ambulance' lettering was replaced by child-friendly Western motifs.

The carriage was quickly restored and in the spring of 2020 it finally regained its former glory.

Since September 2022 the carriage can be admired by all fans in the Bud Spencer Museum in Berlin.
